12th Annual Hope Classic Basketball Doubleheader

Lower Merion High School will host the 12th Annual Hope Classic benefiting Angelman Syndrome research on Saturday, January 3 1 during an action-packed afternoon of hoops as the boys and girls varsity basketball teams take on the Haverford Fords in a doubleheader!
The game will be held in the Kobe Bryant Gymnasium at Lower Merion High School. Ticket cost is $3 for students and $5 for adults. Admission is free for senior citizens. (Financial aid is available. Email Kevin Grugran at grugank@lmsd.org for more information)
The boys varsity game will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the girls, who will tipoff at 2:30 p.m.
The Grugan Family, Lower Merion HS, Haverford HS and Haverford MS invite you to the 12th Annual Hope Classic. Hope is a 10th grade student at Haverford HS. She lives with Angelman Syndrome (AS), a neurogenetic disorder that occurs in one of every 15,000 live births. Characteristics of AS include developmental delay, lack of speech, seizures and walking and balance disorders.
Hope is a beautiful, bright, happy, and amazing young woman and an inspiration to all who know here. Saturday's games will honor her and her friends with AS remarkable progresses and will help raise critical funds and awareness for AS research (recent scientific developments are very encouraging). The Hope Classic in its first 11 years has helped raise over $68,000!!!
