Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
All parents and guardians in the district are invited to hear an update by Dr. McGloin, Dr. Gaudioso, and curriculum staff on MTSS in the District and how it supports District work toward our LMSD vision. MTSS is a standards-aligned, comprehensive school improvement framework that supports academic, behavioral, & social emotional needs of ALL Students. Pennsylvania has created an MTSS model that allows each District to tailor implementation to the unique needs of their school communities. Our vision for implementing MTSS in LMSD is to foster empowered teams with shared responsibility to use meaningful data. It includes a whole child focus to support student learning, growth, and self-efficacy in alignment with the District strategic plan and equity goals. Families may hear about MTSS as a District goal and have questions about what MTSS is, how it serves as a school improvement tool, and what it means for student and family experiences.
